Accounting and Bookkeeping

We can take your proverbial (or literal) shoe box full of receipts and turn it into a set of financial statements which you can use to manage your business. Having accurate and timely financials allows you to make decisions that will grow your business and increase your profits.

Description of Bookkeeping
What exactly are accounting and bookkeeping services? Recording each of your transactions accurately in the general ledger of your accounting system (such as QuickBooks), including but not limited to checks, credit card charges, payroll, and sales to customers. Reconciling your monthly bank and credit card statements. Generally keeping an account of everything that happens in your business to ensure it is accurately recorded and allow you to get every deduction you deserve on your taxes.

Every business and business owner is different. Because of that, our accounting and bookkeeping services are tailored specifically to you and your needs. We work with you to identify the pain points you’ve encountered with bookkeeping in the past, and then set up systems and routines to reduce or eliminate those moving forward, all while routinely providing you an accurate set of books.

Why Staley CPA, PLLC for Bookkeeping?
Having previously worked at a firm that prepared plenty of small business tax returns, David understands exactly what information your tax CPA needs in order to prepare your return. Using this knowledge, he is able to get that information organized and delivered directly to your tax CPA in a more cost effective manner than having them do all of the accounting and bookkeeping for you. This is especially true if you typically just have them do your accounting and bookkeeping once per year during tax season.

Staley CPA, PLLC has been providing bookkeeping services since its formation in 2009, and David has bookkeeping experience dating back to 2004. David specializes in working with business owners who are part of a franchise organization and has nearly a decade of experience in this area.

Frequency of Service
Our accounting and bookkeeping services can be performed weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually, though the overwhelming majority of our clients are on a monthly schedule. This frequency gives you 12 opportunities per year to review financial statements and make changes to your operations as a result of them. But everyone’s needs are different, and we’ll work with you to determine the best solution for you specifically.

Typical Billing Structure
Generally we bill hourly for our services for the first few months, then once systems and routines are established and operational, we typically agree upon a fixed monthly billing rate to allow you to better budget for this expense.
